It has been a long time since Dungeon Siege 2 came out and a lot has happened ever since in the world of RPG games. This week the Demo for Dungeon Siege has been released before the game debuts on 1th of June this year.

The Demo offers a choice to play with two characters from four available in the complete game. The characters are Lucas the Guardian and Anjali the Archon.

The tough paladin warrior is not something out of the ordinary paladin RPG characters. He uses strength and power to crush enemies with long swords and uses heavy armor to deal with deadly blows from his attackers. He is both defensive and attacking with a sword and a shield; and can transform to crushing offence with a two hand weapon and crash everything in sight.

Anjai on the other hands is a bit slower in speed. She does have different capabilities and equipment, attacks differently but the lack of speed gives her vise combat strikes. She also has magic at her disposal, giving her the ability to control fireballs and transformations.

The natural game play in this demo is handed out to Lucas the Guardian. Playing with Anjali has a bit of overwhelming from time to time.

Looking the game in terms of scenery and ambient reveals a great satisfaction. This type of adventure-quest games are nothing without a great detailed stage. Well details are Dungeon Siege 3 specialty. It is filled with interesting details wherever you go; dynamic effects are part of the map, like fire burning on mansions and wild animal’s sounds in the woods.

The games seem to be on its way on being a summer RPG hit. People, veteran players and new comers are very interested in playing the game. Not only it delivers a good game play, but it also delivers a good storyline. Just to give you a taste of the story, the game begins on the brink of a civil war after the death of the king and an usurper by the name of Jayne Kassynder rises to the throne. The four players that are on your disposal are the remaining soldiers of the 10th legion with a plan to regain their honor and bring order to the kingdom.

It isn’t a surprise that 19th of June is written down on the schedule of many RPG gamers. To make their game play more challenging and much longer, they can choose the difficult mode, as normal mode can be a walk in the park for them, especially for the veterans.
